I saw a tutorial for making these cute little corner bookmarks over on Joan's Gardens back in March but did not have time to participate in the challenge. I was looking for a little something extra to send in with a tag swap I have just completed and remembered this tutorial. I have made mine slightly larger at 2.5" x 2.5" What is good about these is that you can use your snippets up on them. Ok so technically they are not all my snippets as some were sent to me but as possession is 9 tenths of the law they are mine now!!!
I had the little bird paper so added some old lace and used a birdcage and bird that the lovely Nicola of Sunshine Reflections had sent to me. The rest I have put together from my stash of bits and bobs.
Here the pink one is being shown on a page in a book so you can see how effective they are.
As these have used snippets I'm entering them into Pixies Crafty Workshop and as I have scheduled this post this link might also end up in timbuktu!
Hi Mrs A
ReplyDeleteThese are fabulous, almost too pretty to use and risk losing - great use of snippets too. Your link just goes to my blog and not the playground, and I can't change it, but you tried at least and it's not Timbuktu! Pleased to see our pogo queen will be joining in the party in the paddling pool :)
Love, Di xx
Great bookmarks,beautifully embellished.xxx
ReplyDeleteLove how you have made the bird cage and butterfly pop out-- I have to make some of these!!

ReplyDeleteWhat a terrific idea and these are charming.I've seen a few but none quite as nice as these.
ReplyDeleteHugs and thanks for your comment.
I have always loved the corner bookmarks and yours are fabulous with the snippets of lace and details. Safe and relaxing weekend dear...
ReplyDeleteThese are fantastic Mrs. A! I've made these before and either gave them away or sold them but don't have one for myself. I should remedy that.

ReplyDeleteLovely!! Good idea, I'm off to make one for myself!! :)
ReplyDeleteVery cute and very practicle Mrs A!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your kind comments on my Christmas album. When you try out your pinecone die, have patience and watch you don't burn yourself. If you run the cut out through your fingers to soften it a little it does help!
Oh these are SOOOO sweet. I love 'em. Great idea and FABBBBO use of snippets.
ReplyDeleteCome be on the other end of the seesaw with me please. xxx
Fabulous bookmarks Mrs A and perfect for using your snippets. Hopefully catch you in the paddling pool this week. Carol x
ReplyDeleteGorgeous bookmarks Mrs A. I love them all.
ReplyDeleteLovely tags, I've made something similar and agree, they are useful for using up snippets. Trouble is they don't use up much and I'm in danger of disappearing under mine.
