The July page this week for the Calendar challenge over at the Craft Barn is to use the colours
Lilac/Purple and dry Embossing.
I used Lilac card stock and cut a strip for the blanking days which I then put through a floral embossing folder. The letters were die cut from purple paper and then collectively put through the same embossing folder. The flower has been made using white tissue and chalking each layer alternantely purple and lilace . The leaves were stamped out with the veins coloured in using coloured pencil and then chalked over with green.

Would also like to enter into the following challenge.
One stitch at a time: Emboss it.

ReplyDeleteCalendar is coming along nicely now isnt it - over half way! Knowing me in December I will suddenly decide I need one and rush through making one!(mind you I usually make my Nan one with scrapbook layouts on each month - must start that soon!). Thanks for joining in with my challenge - dont worry about the "closing" date as its not hard and fast rules - I mainly set it to get me motivated as I find other challenges a bit too samey - did write to the blog you said about adding it to their list but not heard back yet - still show me a pick of what you made though - I love it when others join in!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, I love your flower :)
ReplyDeleteSeeing your pages, inspired me to have a go myself, I made a start, but have only got as far as May, crafting has slowed right down this past week.
As soon as I get going again i'll take my pics and upload them.
Hello Mrs.A ... just wanted to pop along (now I know how to!!!) and thank you for your lovely comments. This has all been such a steep learning curve and quite exasperating and whilst my blog still needs plenty of tweaking I'm slowly gaining the confidence to give it a go! xXx
