I had doubts about the Splodge away mat to start with and thought long and hard, but it is well worth the outlay. You save on copy paper. You save on ink - the same amount goes several times further. To do those two cards I showed today took one tiny splodge from the ink pad, a bit of brayering to spread and blend it. There is enough on the mat to do several more cards. I will probably add a tiny bit of a different colour to the mat and spritz it and make some backgrounds. You can also stamp from the mat - your stamps will pick up only what is necessary and will avoid blots of ink from new ink pads. I have got the 12x12 size but I have just ordered the smaller 8x8 just to take away. The 12x12 is plenty big enough for most projects, and I am not sure where I would put the larger one. All you need to clean them is water and a piece of kitchen roll, then store it back in its bag to keep it clean. I keep mine underneath my craft mat and under my heat resistant mat, so it takes up very little extra space. My recycling bin is a quarter of the size now as there is so little waste paper after a brayering session. Since using it, I have to work very hard to get those annoying stripes from the brayer. So results and cost do work out in the end. If I have missed anything, just email me. xx MaggieMaggieC (Silvercrafter)https://www.blogger.com/profile/13560733295194874288noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-231623887057888098.post-20042128708497501502013-03-17T15:54:07.151+00:002013-03-17T15:54:07.151+00:00Lovely page Mrs A - this sounds like a great chall...Lovely page Mrs A - this sounds like a great challenge and I like that all your entries are in a book xxSherryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03684895103577208094noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-231623887057888098.post-82742020559545745412013-03-17T13:29:34.483+00:002013-03-17T13:29:34.483+00:00Wonderful manor house.
