Very late to my own party!

The lose of  Brian has knocked me all for six. Was just about coming to terms with Julie's death (his wife not 5 yrs ago to MND and now Brian to Prostrate Cancer. I can't settle to anything for long.
I had all these images downloaded and ready to make into cards but mojo completely deserted me. A new challenge is about to start over at the Butterfly Challenge  but I have sat and made these up to showcase some of  the lovely papers and digi images that you can purchase at Buddly Crafts from their online store. The prizes with the current challenge #140  are gift certificates from them.

Card 1.
Design paper is Pretty Mix Purple No4.  The image is Lilyboo Butterfly Roses I have coloured using my Graph'it pens and  used Wisteria as one of the theme colours. I have edged using both a black and a dark purple glitter gel pen and I just wish you could see IRL how much it shines. I used a very pale blue pearlescent chalk to colour in the sky background.  Raised up the image (which I fussy cut)with 3D pads. The sentiment is a black glossy sticker from my stash.

I have again used my Graph'it pens and coloured with Wisteria and Wild blue from the colourways on the wheel. I have edged just  the leaves and butterfly with a silver gel pen.  I have used Washi tape top and bottom of card and then mounted  the image with. 3D pads. in between.  Sentiment is a silver sticker from my stash.

Card 3.
I do have to say that this is my favourite.
Image is Pachela Flower Emporium DS tree Peony butterfly  in Sepia. Again the image comes in four colourways in the download, Black, Sepia, Olive and Ultra.  I have coloured using both my Graph'it and Promarkers using all 3 colourways in the theme. Wisteria, Wheat and Wild blue. Edged with a gold gel pen. The image was die cut using Spellbinders Floral Ribbon Threader  diet set and the corrugated card is for the wood effect. 1. I am so sorry Valery to hear about Brian passing away. Time seems the only thing that lessens the pain.

    Your cards are so pretty.

  2. I can totally identify with how you must be feeling Valery-Anne, I lost by parents sixteen weeks apart and I was unable to craft properly for weeks, I made Dad's service cards as I knew there had to be corn and farming elements, but my it was a struggle. And with the current situation keeping you away from Brian must be dreadful and understandably difficult to cope with.

So I think you display today is wonderful given how you are feeling right now. And what a lovely idea to give Buddly vouchers, Kim has so much in her store. I've had to totally re-think the posting issues as well as I've not been out for almost eight weeks now and with the closes post box over two miles prizes are going to have to wait.

  5. Hi Valery, your cards are all beautiful, lovely floral images and beautifully coloured.
You are bound to feel like this Valery, even although a passing is expected it's still a shock when it happens and the distress is compounded by this awful virus. Pleased be gentle with yourself, grieving comes in all sorts of forms in different people, take care hugs Kate x

  8. Beautiful cards Mrs A. You've done really well to produce three such beauties. It's difficult to feel motivated and concentrate during the current situation without adding grief and loss into the mix. I do hope you feel better soon, but you need to allow yourself time to mourn, losing a close friend is as hard as losing family.
    Sending you a comforting hug.
    xx

  9. I think it takes a while to settle with news like a loss of a good friend. Hugs for you during this sad time. The cards are lovely and I see the shine coming through. That corrugated look is awesome.

  10. These are all beautiful, Mrs. A! I think a lot of us have lost our crafty mojo lately so I can imagine how much worse for you that you lost a dear friend. Again, please accept my deepest sympathies. I'm trying to get my mojo back on track, so I hope to enter your next butterfly challenge. I've been using a few butterflies again lately after a while of not using them for whatever reason.

  26. I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. That certainly can't be easy, and especially right now given everything going on and the inability to gather. My thoughts are with you.
