Jigsaw Cat

Another of the cards that I sent to my grandson. I coloured the image by Cut and Tape Girl (on Etsy) called Line Cat Main Coon. There were 5 to choose from. After colouring with my promarkers I made the digi into a jigsaw using a die cut by Xcut.  I also  made another one up and enclosed it inside the card. Sentiment was a sticker from my stash.  I went to a craft workshop today by Julie Hickey. We had fun using her new Christmas dies and cut glitter board into strips to make patterned cards. We all managed to make 6 cards though I have brought mine home to finish them off in my own time.

  11. What a wonderful idea for your grandson. Love how you've colored this guy. Will have to check out Etsy. This also gives me an idea that I may be able to do for the Hop since so far I've not crafted. Sounds like you had a fun day crafting at the workshop. xxD

  13. Hi Mrs A. a great idea to use a jigsaw die on the image, gives a fab fun take on the image.

  14. I love my jigsaw die cutter, also by X-Cut, must be the same one - and this is a prompt to use it more often! Kids love that sort of thing and it's such a novelty as well. Whilst they're still the right age. Ours (neighbours kids and the girlies in Germany) are growing up too fast so I need to get my skates on! Probably will be able to do at least two cards thinking about their ages for the boys next door - ha, and then one for Dudley as he's still under 10 in dog vs. human years!

Been throwing it down with rain here most of the day - so we have cabin fever. Let me know if you need any help to bale out that deep hole! Hope the Summer house went up OK, I watched the weather on radar (best way to track what's coming our way we've found) and felt for you. Felt, get it?! We need photos to drool over please :) Keep smiling - it will be so worth it once all done.

    Hugs

  24. What a genius idea for making your card extra fun for your grandson!! Great coloring, Mrs A. The simple shading and outlining are perfect for this image. I like the sprinkling of brick red across the nose and the deep orange eyes. Wonderful make!
