Butterfly Canvas

The first of two canvases that I made with BJ Crafts using Imagination Craft supplies on the very last day of  the 3 day Oyster Craft Retreat.  A messy but enjoyable time.  We covered our canvases in Rusty Patina Texture paint  and used several stencils to get the different designs. Heat drying after each application. Once we had finished the layering we rubbed on Alchemy Wax in turquoise and blue and then chose some laser cut velvet board images that we covered in Starlights metallic paints  which we again heat set and this gave the bubble effect .

  9. Amazing canvas Mrs A...love the background and your butterflies.
    Have a great weekend!
I received a lovely tiny crochet octopus from Croatia and when I showed it to Harry, he immediately began to smile and asked me if he could have it. So, he is happy now with his new friend☺☺

  11. Wow! Lovely canvas, ValeryAnne - it's exquisitely done! Your choices of stencils and paints is amazing. I have not tried anything this much fun -- yet -- there is something wrong with my "letting go" gene, preventing me from flowing with the feel of things -- but I will get there, and maybe even make something as incredible as your masterpiece! hugs, de
