Vellum Lillies

I'm Showing you here the second card that I made with Honey Doo Crafts when I went on the 3 day craft retreat run by Oyster crafts. It is a large 8" x 8" base  and uses vellum as an overlay.  It does look really spectacular IRL. We were all pleased with the results we achieved. I will show you the card process  backwards as we started by stamping the inside of the card using Honey Doo 'Lovely Lily' and ' Birthday Sentiments.

The front of the card was stamped using Versafine Onyx black ink covering with clear embossing powder and heat setting. The lillies were painted using Honey Doo mica powders mixed with water. I haven't managed to capture  the sheen  on the petals in the photo.

Finally we adhered a sheet of vellum paper over the top and using the same lily stamp lining up and stamping  over in exactly the same place using Versa mark ink. We used White Opal embossing powder over the top and heat set.

Here is the finished  card.

  17. Clever idea with the vellum over the coloured image - pictures can never really do this sort of thing justice which is a shame.
