Decoupage

It is time for another new challenge over on the Butterfly blog.
#78 Butterflies + D is for Decoupage and/or the colour Gold.

Here is my inspiration for you.
I have made an easel card.

The easel card is made from a cream card blank with the base of the card layered up with gold card stock.  The two die cut frames were made using  Spellbinders  'Marvelous Squares'. I was watching a video by Lindsay The Frugal Crafter on making chalk backgrounds and as I had all the necessary in my stash decided to have a try out on this card.  The peg stamps I used are by Heyda from their Butterfly set and the gold coloured chalk from my box of Dovercraft Decorative Chalks. I'm pleased with the resulting panels. The decoupage  butterfly is from a sheet  by Le Suh 'Anna's Art'. They are not precut so I needed to fussy cut each component out separately. The sheet is very thin so I backed onto plain white 150gsm card stock before cutting. I used gold stickles on the top layer.

I finished the card off with a gold sticker sentiment , a gold sticker flower and a gold pearl.

Side view showing all the layers.
Hope to see you all in the Butterfly Garden Later.
