Rose Cottage.

This is a little painting I did for a post card swap back  in January.
The stamps are from Art Impressions Water colour range and I have been watching their videos  on how to use them. I have coloured in using my Marvey Le Plume II water colour pens by scribbling the colours out onto a palette and then picking the colour up with a paint brush. You have to send the postcard as it is so after painting it I left for several days and then sprayed it with Spray and Shine varnish to protect it from  the elements whilst in the post. Happy to say it arrived safely and unscathed.

Has anyone else noticed how hard it is to now to follow back people who become your follower.
You no longer get a direct link back to their blog when you click on the little icon so unless they leave a comment on your blog at the same time as linking  or you do recognise who they are then your, to put it mildly 'Up a creek without a paddle'! Conversely I have now noticed that I no longer have an image of me when I follow a new blog and the name is showing as my full name and bears no resemble to my blog or blog address and I can't find out how to fix it back to how it was. I am so annoyed. Can you see the steam!!!!!

Thankyou to all my new followers and please leave comments so I can find you back.

Hugs

  7. And another thing is unless you look at your blog you do not know if you have any new followers as it does not show the follows count anymore on your dashboard.
    Really gorgeous painting, so pretty.

    1. You can find the followers count within your dashboard Kath - you just have to dig for Britain to find it! It's on the stats overview page, about a third of the way down.

  9. That looks a bit like the cottage I'm going to buy myself when I win the lottery!! LOL - it's a very pretty painting Valery, well done!
As for Blogger followers, I've been noticing that problem for quite a while - you would assume that by clicking on a followers picture would take you directly to their blog ...... but No!! Very frustrating!

  15. I can't believe you sent this away! I would have framed it and displayed it. It is just awesome. You used beautiful colors and it looks like a picture. I haven't had any trouble yet following on google. I do like the unfollow button so I know for sure I didn't get knocked off as a follower when blogger had it's glitch.

  18. Gorgeous painting, love it and the colors! I saw that you left a comment on my blog but can't see where you are following me. I use Firefox for my browser but have to use Google Chrome at times just to see the place to follow, as it doesn't show up on Firefox. That is for when I want to follow others. I can see my followers on my blog thankfully.

  19. Hi Mrs A,
oh you definitly have wonderful talent running in your family.
This is so pretty, and superb work.
Love that cottage I think most of us would like to love there.

Yes your right blogger is beiing a pain, and it is difficult to find out where new followers are from now.
Also have you noticed that some times you get the unfollow button uderneath, and I have lost a few followers, and was wondering if that was the problem.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

  20. This is so pretty Anne! Great job creating this sweet, watercoloured scene. Love it! I have always had a problem finding people that join or even the ones that leave me comments as I have so many that are no-reply blogger. Sometimes it's impossible to thank them. You'd think with all the technology available, that we wouldn't have to hire a detective to find these things out! xx

  25. I know I'm really late commenting, but I've kept this in my inbox until I could find a minute to make my way here. This is so fantastic, Anne! You should do this more often as your talent is outstanding! Your sweet cottage reminds me of the Playhouse!! Hope all is going well and the reno is done or mostly so? Hugs, Darnell xxoo
