Shaker Card.

This is a card for another swap that I do every month which goes to Australia. This is one of the cards
which I made for the February swap that I have never shown.  The theme for this challenge was to
recycle something  from your trash can. I joked that I was going to send my partner a card with fish bones on it so she was relieved to see I had made a shaker card using one of The Docs trusty custard tart boxes instead.!  I used a Crafts-Too embossing folder with a rose design on it to further enhance the card that I had cut from the box.  The roses were made from some of the hand made paper that I had made in a local craft club I go to.  It has all been used up now.  The shaker element is white opaque sequins that i had a packet of in my stash.  Card base was made from blue card stock.

I'm still  in two minds about using fish bones on a card so watch this space is all  I can say!

  4. Ha ha ha!! :D It would be possible make a card with recycled fish bones, but it would be better send it inside a refrigerated envelope... LOL :D :D
I think that the trusty custard tart cardstock is really better :D and WOW!... I'm just in love with your shaker! Fabulous colours and the embossed layer is a clever idea, thanks for the great inspiration! Your handmade roses with the handmade paper are a truly delight, just amazing! Love them!

  13. I wouldn't be surprised to see you using fish bones. How about an new line in greeting cards for cats? Anyway no-one would know this was recycled. The roses are very pretty and add a special touch.

  14. I think this is my favorite of all your cards. It is just stunning. I love the way you use all things and recycle on your cards. Things in my trash can would not be suitable for cards or anything else for that matter!
