Poinsettias

I'm scheduling this for Sunday. I really thought that after 5 days of this flu bug that I would be feeling better but it is back with a vengeance today Saturday so I have gone back to bed.
I really didn't want to miss the Christmas Card Club challenge as the theme has been set my my lovely blogging pal Mary H.  Poinsettias.
I am unashamedly caseing  a card I have already shown reusing  an old Christmas card and  I found a card that I hadn't shown before using die cuts for the flowers so managing to keep to my resolution of one used card and one card made from my stash of stamps/dies/embossing folders.

The eagle eyed will see it says Birthday Wishes but this is because The Docs Aunt (who this card was for) is a Christmas Baby.
Short and sweet.

Feel better soon, there have been some real nasties about recently and they do seem to knock you for six.

  5. Lovely cards Valery. Hope you feel better very soon - I had flu at the start of the year, it took two weeks to clear. Will consider jabs but I guess they have to be in October...(something I will have to ask about, although I understand they can only try to 'predict' the strain to guard against! - all a bit of a lottery). Wishing you all the best.

Lovely both the cards, and gorgous poinsettias! I like very much the lattice front in the first one.

  24. Oh dear, on the bug - sure hope you are feeling a bit better as I cruise around on Monday. I'm so pleased you were able to play, as your recycles always amaze me. Never fail to show up with some beautiful cards. Clever of your aunt to combine her birthday with Christmas (bet she lost out on the gifts when she was a child, though). I'm loving each of these for different reasons The lattice overlay on #1 hints at the beauty behind it, and #2's crisp white with the score lines, really sets off the dimension of the shaped poinsettias. The white really pops the red & green of the flowers. TFS & Hugs
