3 Villiages.

Internet still playing up so I'm running late.
Latest news is that they are still working on it!!

Time once again for the girls in
the Christmas Card club to show
their creations.
It was the turn of Rita to set the theme
and her choice was Village Scene.
This sent me scuttling off to my
box of  used Christmas cards as I knew
that I had several card fronts
that would be suitable to use.
I found 3 with village scenes but as I
couldn't decide which to use
(and my pile of Christmas cards is a bit low)

I give you 3  very  different villages.
You choose!!

The first village scene I'm calling Modern.

I made a sort of envelope style opening for the card base
which I have held closed using Faux buttons
and bakers twine.

Blue  pearlescent card stock, Anita's sentiment
and the silver edging were from my stash.
Buttons made using  Joy Crafts die cut.

A Gem Of A Challenge #144 More than one fold.
Scribble and Scrap #144 Anything goes.
Me and  Mine  #  Beat the rush.
Crafty Hazelnuts Extra # Anything goes.

My second Scene I'm calling  Traditional
and is a Tent fold shape .

I cut the scene up into 3 oblongs and then
adhered to a red backing card leaving a small gap
between each panel which I think gives the
appearance of looking through a window.
I used gold pearlescent card to make the card shape.
Bow and pearls from my stash along with the
gold sentiment sticker.

Country View Crafts # Simply scenic.
Sister Act #105 Anything goes.
Jo's Scrapshack #87 Anything goes.

And Lastly my Medieval Scene.
I have had this card in my box for yrs and yrs
Many more than I care to remember.
Waiting and waiting for the right moment.
The scene is actually only half of the card.
I still have the other half saved !!
I have used yellow pearlescent card for the front
and used my Spellbinder Labels twenty-eight
to die cut the window frame from the centre.
As the picture was a tad short, I cut the discarded
insert down and used to create the base
for the sentiment thus covering up the slight
gap left at the bottom.
Black pearls was all I felt  was needed
to complete the card.

  1. Wow Mrs A, three gorgeous village scenes. I don't think I can choose between them, I love them all, but the envelope one is an unusual design and I think for that reason it is slightly ahead on the favourite stakes :) A fabulous job with the theme and for managing three cards too.

  9. Totally fabulous Valery, all three are amazing, hard to choose, but I rather like the third one as the scene reminds me of a Brugel painting, I think I've spelt that right,Flemish painter, brilliant selection for the challenge, hugs Kate x

  11. These are all fabulous! And good for you actually using used Christmas cards! I always think I will do that and then don't follow through. All three scenes are beautiful, and I really like the different styles you gave to them all. I think the one on the red might be my favorite, but I really like them all. Thanks for playing with CHNCC2.

  14. Gracious, you really aced this fun challenge, with 3 totally unique (and beautifully recycled) images. I am in awe of each of the scenes, and the wonderful way you shaped each card to make it so special. #1 I will admit is my favorite...this is such a stunning fold. Love the idea of separating #2 into the panels..made it so impressive that way. And brilliant on #3 to cover up the slight gap as you did. WTGo on using such beautiful scenes to provide enjoyment to someone else when you send out these 3 lovely cards! TFS & Hugs

  16. Your fuzz and Chardonnay sound amazing.
I don't drink wine much these days, it tends to give me a head ache. Maybe I should practise more.
You are very creative and busy with your art.
