Triangle Trifold Card.

We are now on  the 2nd week
of my Butterfly challenge
and this is the card I have made for your inspiration.
I wanted the ribbon element of the challenge
to take centre stage.
I haven't done any ribbon weaving for ages.
After I had made the weaved mat
I had about 1mtr of the cream over and just sat
and spuddled with it and fashioned this little Rose too.
Having made the ribbon embellishments
I searched around for a card design to compliment them
and found this one on Splitcoaststampers.
Triangle Trifold Card.
I chose pale yellow and greens for a spring like feel.
Backing papers are by Buckwells Crafty.
I used a combination from their Flutterby and Butterly sets
using  a combination of the plain papers with a yellow butterfly paper
which I used to print over the plain green with.

I used white card stock for the card shape.
Die cut butterfly was in my stash so unknown.
Bead and gems also from stash.

The sentiment is from a Sheena Douglass stamp set
called 'A Little bit Sketchy True Colours'.
Stamps have butterflies and sentiments to chooose from.

I fussy cut two butterlies from the backing paper
leaving a little of the green around them and it has
unintentionally  given a 3D effect to them which I quite like
and also conveniently  hides two smudgy ink  blobs!

Entering into the following challenges:
Ooh-la-La Creations #174 Add something green.
Love to Scrap #48 Anything goes.
Crafty Boots #  Use a sentiment.
Through The Craft Room Door # Anything goes.
Ruby's Rainbow #98 Anything green.
Southern Girls # Winged things.
Pile It On #56 Butterflies.
Pixie's Crafty Workshop #164 Use up your snippets ( odds of green ribbon used).
Crafts Galore #  Use a stamp or digi. (digi papers and sentiment stamp used).

  17. Now that is a great way to use ribbon and a fantastic shaped card into the bargain.

Thank goodness we got the fire EATERS/ fire FIGHTERS thing sorted out. Still not sure what to do with that barrel though . . . perhaps we'll hide it until Nov 5th?
