Commissioned Card

My very first commissioned card!
A friend wanted a New Baby card
for a baby Girl due in February.
and this is the card I made for her.
I had these  'Jenny Ellory' papers in my stash
which also came with a page of accessories to use with them.
A Joy fold card sprang immediately to mind
as I wanted to do lots of layers.
Pink card and polka dot ribbon from my stash.

I backed  the stork tag onto a scrap of the pink card
and created a pocket to house it within the card.

Back of tag has been left blank to add 
the baby's name when known and a short greeting.

I made a matching box for the card to go in
which I have never done before using my envelope maker
so this is my trying out a new shape for this post.
Pleased to say my friend loved the card and box.

The good news is I  have a commission
for a 14th Wedding Anniversary for May.

The bad news is that The Elf population
has now exploded into 4 new elves needed for  Dec 2015
and another  Advent  Calendar  to be made.
Best get started now then!!

    Wow! This won't be your last commission after they see this card. It is adorable. I love that tag with the stork. Soft baby colors and a box to boot! I hope you don't get those high winds there. Those are destructive tornado winds here at that speed. Stay safe.

      I'll echo Brenda's WOW! I love the colors, the patterns, and absolutely love the Joy fold card. So well done, and the tiny tag was a good idea to add. Amazing box too, and good for you at making your first one (I've not done anything but an occasional envelope!). I expect you'll be getting lots more requests when the word gets out...How happy the new Mom will be when she opens this one. Well done!     Goodness me Mrs A this is beautiful! l used to make a lot of joy fold cards they are so effective and your image is just right for this style of card.....loving your polka dot ribbon as always your so creative with all that you do xx
