A Christmas Card!

Well the month has a 'D' in it which must mean Christmas Card time. How did that happen!!
I like need  50 cards asap. Anyone got some spare they can let me have?
I actually made this one back in November (or I would  be at minus 1) for a card swap and it should be safely in Canada by now. The swap called for these colours  (two blues and a plumb) to be used which I found very hard to put together but finally came up with the card below.  My new toys that I bought at the NEC this year are Embossing powders and a corner punch.  Can you tell!!
The stamps are by  Stampscapes and worked well with the powder. Kept it fairly simple as the colours are so strong.

  1. Unfortunately I had to end up using store-bought cards this year. Sometimes we just cannot do it all. Holiday Peace and Joy...

  7. Can't go wrong with Stampscapes. You used them so effectively on this card, and the colors are so cheery. I'm really likin' your embossing powder...looks great on the trees & deer. Hmmmm...inspiration for one more Christmas card (I have 20....that's a big improvement for me for this year. Blogging made me do it!!) Hugs. TFS

  11. The trees and deer have a lovely outdoorsy type feel and I think the silver works really well with the rich colours. Go you. So you went to The NEC and came back with only embossing ponds and a corner punch. I DON'T THINK SO!!! Xx

  13. Pretty card there Mrs A! Like the Flying Deer - reminds me of the Flying Ducks that used to deck walls in the 70s...but not at my parents' home! Tee Hee!
How is the construction work coming on? I have been practicing the dancing....been thinking....Scottish Dancing in clogs!! A slight slant to make it a little different! What do you think?

  15. Wonderful Mrs A - and great embossing too.

    Scottish dancing in clogs? Whatever!

Re. the excess paint on offer - perhaps the Doc can make a guest appearance as either Shrek or The Grinch - they were both green weren't they? He'd have to fight with someone here for the role though, 2:30 am and I just know the lion will roar as I wriggle into bed quiet as a mouse :( Sigh, perhaps should send Sam in doing her clog dance and have done with it!

    Hugs, Di xx

  16. I can see why you found the colours hard although they are Aston Villa colours so I would have been ok! The card looks great though so well done! When did you go to the NEC - we could have met up!

  17. Yes Yes Wendy Vecchi!! My one and only stamp set. Mainly because I get so confused as to which set I want I don't get any but these were half price and it was now or never so I took the plunge! Love them!
I will leave the clogs off too!
