All things Japanese.

This was not my best idea in showing on a black background as you can't see the dolls black hair! I made this little Japanese bag for Sherry. I ran a blog 1 yr anniversary and Sherry was one of my winners and got to choose an item to be made for her and she chose this bag. It is made from genuine Japanese silks from real kimono's that have been unstitched and the material cut up and then shipped from Japan.

I also made this minature kimono as a little extra gift.
This shows the front.


and this is the detailing on the back. It is all fully lined. Turned out rather cute I think and I had fun making it after I worked out how to turn the sleeves the right side out and attach them!!

  11. Oh I just know Sherry is loving her little bag as it is absolutely divine! So magnificent, one could sit forever just gazing at it. I do see the lovely hair though and what a magnificent little doll bag it is - fantastic fabric and that kimono is just amazing. You are such an amazing and talented woman, Mrs. A. I just adore visiting you seeing your lovely creations!!

    Poor you with your virus..it is a really scary world!!
