Lavender Lace.

Have you ever had one of those days when simple problems if dealt with properly by the people concerned  would  be simples! I have spent the best part of the day waiting for an email to arrive (which didn't) with the password to unlock an account  and a company to ring me back (who didn't) to sort out the problem from a parcel that arrived  with missing items from it. I had to hassle both of the companies in order to get results. I feel exhausted and am now behind with everything else. Rant over!! The good news is that phase 1 of the Bathroom Horrendous project  is now complete and we can now have a respite before phase 2 commences. Very pleased with the work so far.

We are now into the second week for #71 Butterflies +U is for Underneath and/or Umber.
Here is my next  inspiration card for you.
I have used lavender card stock to make the base card and for the pocket on the front to contain the tag. Top layer has been embossed using Sizzix 656982 Butterfly Migration set and then roughly torn to give a shabby  worn look. The piece torn off became the back part of the pocket.

The design paper is a  freebie from Making Cards July 2015 Busy Butterflies. The tag and butterfly are by Studio Bright from their card sheets of Vintage Line and Shabby Chic. The bakers twine and lace remnant are from my stash. so at last I can enter  Miss Di's challenge of use up your snippets.

Here is a close up of the tag which of course is hidden underneath in the pocket.

Hugs

I love that hidden tag, the whole card is really beautiful.
Don't you sometimes feel these days that we all have to use a great deal of energy hassling people to do their jobs properly - life would be so much easier if they made the effort to get things right the first time. If these people were crafters, they'd have half of their cards opening at the wrong side!

This is so gorgeous! Love the hidden tag! It's so frustrating when things go wrong and then sorting it out is a problem! I hate it when people don't phone back when they say they will - such bad customer service! xxx

Hi Mrs A,
what a very fab idea the butterfly tag in the pocket, I didn't think of that one.
Super design and lovely shade of Lavender and that butterfly is gorgeous and so very pretty.
Oh isn't so frustrating when you stay in all day for these things and they don't happen.
So glad you have got a little respite till the next phase.
I am definitely not looking forward to when mine is done sometime at the end of Feb or begining of March not sure when yet.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

Lovely vintage card, and glad you have a bit of respite from the small room refurb. Had an issue myself that took best part of a week to resolve. Messages left, computer problems, automated messages, irritating music, and frustration when you just want to talk to a human being! All sorted now though, have a good weekend xxx

Hope tomorrow is a better day. I do know how frustrating days can be!

Your vintage feel card is lovely. The colours look wonderful and the hidden tag "under" the main front of your card is a great design!

I hear you about the poor customer response times - something that did not happen when I was employed as a "service representative" back in the day. I'm sorry the day was frustrating. It truly does set a tone that is difficult to overlook - Or how about when you have something "administrative" to do (like insurance, or banking, or changing bank card info on certain auto-bill accounts) only to have something wrong with each of the websites visited, or going through the entire process, only to be told at the end that this product/service is not available through the internet, etc. After going through all the prompts on the phone, and FINALLY getting a live voice, we get disconnected LOL - it's like one thing after another, of what should be an ordinary, easy, task. When compounded, then it becomes so cumbersome. So I hear ya. Thank goodness there are ways of remaining calm and polite, no matter what, but sometimes the frustration can rankle for sure.

Now, on to your card! LOL Thanks for the idea about doing the rough tearing, and dry embossing the pocket portion! LOVE the design tips there, and how you used the "left over" in the background of the pocket. Your trademark butterfly is perfect! Wishing you a wonderful week-end. hugs, de

This is so pretty and what a clever way to do the 'underneath' part of the challenge. Love the softness and that gorgeous curve on the card front. The ecru color of the delicate lace against the lavender is quite a vintage look and of course the script just adds more to that feeling. Glad you are getting a breather between the phases, and very happy to hear you've been pleased with the work done so far! Just relax from your rant, that seems to be Life as we know it these days! TFS & Hugs (forgot to say, the tag looks so nice with the card too! I'd never think to do that!)
