NBUS Flower

I have been feverishly trying
to get a card made so I can enter
Darnell's latest NBUS challenge

but nothing was working.
Drawers were pulled open, Desktop littered
(when is it not), papers pulled out and still nothing,
then like a burst water pipe
whoosh
it all came together.

So here is the NBUS stamp I  finally used.

I used my Derwent  watercolour pencils to colour
the flower which I then fussy cut out
(Mainly because the memento ink pad I stamped
the image with bled around the edges just a tad.)
To give more definition I used a silver gel pen
around the petals and veins on the leaves.

Then I spotted two negative die cut squares
'Crafts-Too  Scalloped Edge PCD77'  on my desk
from previous projects and started playing with them
on a pink  blank card base and came up with this design.
A quick delve into my pile of silver peel off sheets
and Ta Da my NBUS was born!

Entering into the following challenges:
Darnell's NBUS challenge #7. New, never used flower stamp.
4 Crafty Chicks #314 Fussy cutting.
Little Miss Muffet #145 Anything goes using  any stamp or digi.
Cut It Up Challenge #104 Water colour plus must use a die cut.
Pixies Crafty Workshop #245 Use up your snippets. (water colour card /die cuts)

Absolutely lovely, and a great use of NBUS as well as recycling the die cut negatives and using up a good chink of the peel off stash as well - triple whammy!

Fun to see you over at the NBUS challenge too. Your card is cool. Great rose image! I was hoping to use my new rose stamp set but have not had time to ink it yet as racing back up to Mum's tomorrow...she is not well again.
Al will drop me off (3 1/2 hours out of his way) and will go to close up the RV and finish up the winter preparations of the lot.
I hope to stay a week and cheer her up.

You had me on the edge of my seat, Mrs. A.! This was like that old Academy Award winning movie from the 30s: "Birth of a Card!" I'm pretty sure that's the name of it. And for all the mess you created in your envyirons and the fever that broke out across your browsierre, it was WORTH IT! This is rich and elegant and classic! I love it and I love you for going to all that effort for little ho me!! Thank you so much for playing in my NBUS Challenge #7! Lots of love and hugs, Darnell
