Someone Special.

Apologies if I haven't been by your blogs in a while.
Blogger is continuing to be a problem in that
I can only see my readers list whilst on my PC
and I know that some of your comments are going
straight into my spam box due to a spam overload
which gets deleted automatically several times a day.
So I'm working pretty much in the dark and to make
matters worse Mojo has fled the country
taking her passport with her and refusing to come back
until I can assure her that the temperatures will be in
the 90's.!!
I'll not  be seeing her  any time soon then so until then
I'm very much on my  own!!!!!!

It's time for the girls in the Christmas Card Club
to show our cards.
Zoe set the theme this time which  was to make
a card for Someone Special at Christmas.

A rummage in my used christmas card box
produced a white  heavily embossed card
To both of You at Christmas''.

Iv'e left the card front pretty much intact just
trimming down slightly.
Layered up using red cardstock, silver glitter card,
red cardstock again and then the card raised on
3D  pads all encased in an acetate fronted card.
I have used heavy duty silver card stock for the backing.
Ribbon down the spine of the card to finish.

This is when Mojo decided to flee the country!
Looking through my box of christmas stamps,
die cuts, stencils and embossing folders
had me totally at a loss as to what to make next.
My eyes finally rested on a pile of  christmas themed
silver stickers and peel offs and an idea was finally  born.
Use them all to make a card with.

I have used 3 different peel off sheets to
create this card.
Not showing up very clearly but they have all been
adhered to a sheet of acetate that has been
sandwiched between the base of the card
and a sheet of the same card that I had previously
used to cut a window from and then discarded.
Apiece of red card was inserted behind the lattice work
so that it  would show up  and micic  a stained glass window.
Sentiment was created in word .
I used ribbon down the spine of the card as it was already
out on my desk.

Finally I added red gems to each cross over
on the lattice work to complete.
I will link up to some challenges later.
Off now  to visit your blogs.
Hugs Mrs A.

Two absolutely gorgeous cards Mrs A. I have been having a problem with blogger for days now. Sometimes it allowed comments other times not. A real pain when youhave spent the time to write it, pressed the publish button and then it disappears into the ether! John must have got so sick of hearing my grumbles that he eventually had a go at it this morning and he has fixed my problem Yay!! Now I am having to go back and re-enter all my comments. Hope you get yours sorted out too and hope Ms Mojo comes back soon. Hugs Christine xx

Your Mojo must be vacationing somewhere with MY Mojo. Sorry to hear about the blogger issues. These continue to plague all of us, it seems. You've done your magic with another recycle effort. Love the festive cover design of this Special card, and especially love the 2nd card with the lattice window. You are amazing if this is stickers! Well done. TFS & Happy Mother's Day. Hugs

Two great cards Mrs A, loving the acetate feature. Sorry you are having trouble with Blogger, been ok here so far, but so frustrating when it's happening regularly. Hope Mr Mojo returns form his hols soon for you although judging from today's cards you're doing fine without him.

Especially like the arch window card, very effective designs.

Like you my tablet no longer shows the reading list so have to rely on desktop which I do prefer to commenting but would still be nice to see on the other.

Hi Val
Long time, no see.
Hope all is well!
Are you busy bird watching.....what do you have visiting your garden at the moment?
We have a few local kestrels in evidence and not much else. I did come across a lesser spotted woodpecker up north lately. And, some gold finches in the vet's garden in Oxford. Kitty seems to be getting old and had a fall....he still isn't good at jumping and continues to fall off the kitchen table. I think I am keeping the vet practise going single handed.

Oh dear - you have had a few issues. You seem to be doing okay without Mojo though! I love the lattice and the pearls just add another lovely dimension. Thank you for joining in the challenge at CHNC Extra for March.
