Nordic Christmas

What is time when your having fun
or you just happen to have a Pesky Elf
living with you for December!
I really did go to the Hairdressers on Thursday too.
If your looking for todays Elf antics then check
the post above this one.
For days 1 through to 12 then see posts below.

It is time once again for the girls in
The Christmas Card Club to show our makes.
Zoe chose the theme this time which is the last one for this yr.
'Anything Goes.'

My hairdresser loves anything tartan so her card always
incoprorates a bit of it somewhere.
Diaster nearly struck though as I was sure I had tartan
design paper in my stash in christmas colours.
Everything but!!!!!
Then I spied a roll of half used christmas tartan washi  tape
so when in Rome do as the Romans do.

I covered two 5" sq. card blanks with strips of washi tape
very carefully matching up the stripes each time.
The background is a  a lovely nordic
' Reindeer Parade'  Embossing folder by Crafter's Companion
which I embossed onto a 6"sq sheet of white card.
Attached to a card blank and then adhered a tartan sq on top.
The stamp is called 'Doodle Santa' by Leane Creatief
and when I saw it on another blog just had to go and buy it forthwith!
Coloured with my Promarkers, outlined with a silver gel pen
and then dusted over with  white pearlised chalk.
This gives a lovely sheen to your colouring.

I attached the other tartan square inside and the sentiment
and star embellishments  are silver stickers from my stash.
I put a plain piece of white card between the stars
to write my message on.
Below is a close up of the stamped image.

Fab Christmas card Valery. The tartan does have a Christmassy feel, but I can not explain why that should be. Thank you for sharing your Christmas project with all of us at Crafty Boots Challenges.

Great thinking to use the washi tartan tape but oh matching those stripes, must have caused a lot of eye strain! So pretty though, with the wonderful EF edge that is showing. A delightful Santa gnome, and this one is sure to bring a smile to your hairdresser's face. Great work! Enjoyed reading about the elves' adventures too. Thanks for the absolutely gorgeous card you sent..you KNOW I love it! Merry Christmas, TFS & Hugs too. Wishing you the best of New Year's too.
