Let It Snow.

Time once again for the girls to show
their makes for the Christmas Card Club.
The theme this time set by Christine is
'Let It Snow'
Another delve into my used Christmas cards stack
produced this card front.
Loads of the white stuff on here.
To me this was just begging to be made  into a
Shaker Card.
At this point I should really tell you that me and
'Micro beads' do not get along!!
So,  many remakes later here is the card I made.
I used an EF by Crafts -Too called 'Spots'
on a sheet of white card and then used my new
Xcut Shape Cutter System  for
Rectangle and Square Tracks which
I found quite easy to use once I had mastered
the technique of turning corners.
I cut the card down to fit behind the frame
and used 3D oblong pads cut into strips to make
the casing to contain the micro beads.
(Those little perishers have a mind of their own).
I used a piece of acetate for the window and pearls
from my stash.
The sentiment was cut from another card front.
A blank card base was covered in coloured card stock
to match the Fawn and the whole of the shaker element
was attached to the front.

Hi Val.
I think it's great to reuse old Christmas cards.
So sorry to hear about your sad news. Sometimes life seems so unfair and very upsetting. I will be thinking of you.....
Glad you sorted out the whereabouts of the bees and butterflies. To be honest there are not many here this year despite me planting buddleias everywhere.
We have masses of flowers that the pollinators love, but still they are scarce. Sorry about your iPad too, you'll just have to pay up, I guess.
Keep on creating, it helps when you are feeling sad.
Love Zue

Love the pale shades of the tiny deer in this snowy scene, and having never made a shaker card, I'm impressed once again! Love the dotty ef frame, and the white with the pale shade of the snow scene was so pretty a color combo. Great Let it Snow scene! TFS & Happy Sunday

That topper was calling out to be recycled! You did such a wonderful job on this shaker card.
I love the finished look of it.
You are going to have a giggle but I have only tried a shaker card once. I used pop up long strips for raising the frame and then all the little micro beads stuck to the edges of the strips. I guess I did not press the edges down to seal the gluey edge!!!
Will have to give them a try again...lol
