The Key.

Following on with my quest to find new card  shapes to use here is a Centre Fold Card I created  for The Docs Valentine card.

Base made from a  sheet of white card 6" x10" folded in at 2.5" either side to centre.
Scraps of red card stock cut and added to side flaps front and back.
Scraps of design paper from a previous card  used to cover.
White and red card used for the Cheery Lynn Sentiment Frame #2 B190.
Britannia Alphabet die used o create the wording.
Lock & key brads by Woodware from stash.
Centre of back is a scrap of vellum paper wrapped over a piece of white card cut to fit.
The heart is made from two pieces of scrap design paper cut and woven together.
Desire Fourie has a neat little tutorial on her blog which is where I saw them first made.
They are very easy to make.
Sentiment  was added to the right hand frame after photo was taken.

Yes I did have a card from The Doc. He was apprehended in the card shop using the assistant's stool to reach the cards on the top shelf! When told he wasn't allowed to do that the assistant  passed the cards down for him to choose from. He bought two, this years and last years card but only came clean  with this nugget of information today!!

Awww - what a romantic card! Hope you had a lovey-dovey day! And hope you are still warm and dry - this weather really is getting scary! We are lucky enough to be safely above sea level and and away from the coast. Have to say you are such a prolific and skillful crafter Mrs A - you put me to shame!

This is a beautiful fold. I am trying new folds this year too, so will note the link you mentioned.

It has lots of hidden treats once opened. I like those filigree circles where you added the seniment.

Hello Mrs. A – checking into see what delights you’ve been creating of late, and oh my! Some real beauties! Your Valentine center-fold card is gorgeous, and the hexagon teddy simply adorable! So much talent!! Once again, I’m inspired by your mission to explore new techniques. If you have a chance, head to the Scor-pal site; they have ever so many nifty projects. One of my favourites is a telescoping card (I made one…posted somewhere on my blog) made with interlocking circles, connected with brads. I’ve also made the tri-fold (for my niece) and a few others. Well worth a visit and with your creativity, you’ll find something to dazzle us with! Your butterfly challenge is booming! Hope you don’t mind that I gave a shout out on my blog a few posts back (my entries for the Uniko challenge). I used butterflies but didn’t have flowers quite ‘properly’ at that point. One will appear…finishing touches need. A visit here – day (or rather, evening) brightened! Hugs~c
