Workdesk Wednesday 105

I have not been blogging much of late due to elderly parents needing care and it has taken much of our time travelling up and down the motorway to sort things out.
Hopefully blogger has settled down now as I have been commenting of an evening but a lot have gone into cyber space never to be seen or heard of again. Appoligies if it looked like I had been avoiding you. Honest I haven't!!!!!

Right so what is on my workdesk.Well I have cleared the desks so to speak to spread out some paint chip colours. Why? I have entered a challenge where you go to your local paint store and choose colours that each start with one of your initials. I managed to find enough colours to make up 3 complementary pallets using my 4 initials. You then take your selection off to the fabric store and choose colours to match your paint strips and then make an item in patchwork in those colours. The 'Vanilla Mist' strip is my wild card to throw in if I get stuck on a colour. Pretty cool challenge hey!!!!!

If you want to join in here are the details.

Monkey is looking a little agast as there is a rival tea bag box sitting on the corner of my desk but I have explained to him that it is all in the line of duty and we do have very hard water here. It is for the June Artful bag Challenge which is to take an everyday object( as long as it isn't a bag) and alter it to look like one. I will show the results on a later post.

Pop on over to Julia's blog to have a snoop around other peoples desks. Thats where I'm off to now.

It could be my desk. I know that's an insult as mine is often messy, but you have lovely things, that I like. Yorkshire tea...just going to put the kettle on and paint cards....I have quite a few. What colour begins with 'S'..slime green..........
I enjoyed what you have to show today.

Have fun!

Thank you for visiting me today. I do store my Promarkers on their side - flat - which I believe is the right way, but I am no expert. I am sure others will be able to tell you for sure, but I feel certain that is what someone told us on Create and Craft. Can't wait to see what you end up with on that colour challenge, and with your tea bag box.

Poor Monkey, that 'other' tea box must have given him the heebie-geebies! Yes,my collection of Promarkers is slowly growing, but!!! I only have three TM inks, I need more! The colour change thingy sounds very umm well, hard!! but the tea-box bag thingy is very interesting and I'll look out for that. oh and yes, blogger and commenting, I've found after spending hours going round, when I double check back(looking for where I got to) I'm not there,my comments that is. I have been blaming blogger, but started to think it was just me!! Now that I've typed all this, you watch...it won't be there later!! Happy WOYWW

Hello Mrs. A., so happy to see you and thanks for stopping by - always love to hear from you. Now you really get into some doozy challenges that are so fun filled - I can't wait to see your finished project. I know it will be a blast. I can't imagine going into a paint store and picking colors out and matching fabrics. That's the fun part for me - couldn't make a stitch which is why it's so much fun watching you do it! JAM has busy with Terri Anne keeping King Mufasa out of mischief. He might get to go outside in the sunshine today. :-)

Poor little Monkey - hope your re-assurances worked!

The paint/fabric idea sounds really interesting, you must show us how it turned out. Hope your parents are doing better, and please reassure My Chimp that he's irreplaceable!
